What are the requirements needed?
Matric with English (4), Maths (3), Physical Science (3) and Life Science (3) is required for the diploma program. For the Higher certificate, English (3), and Maths (3) is compulsory together with either Physical Science (3) or Life science (3). Maths Lit (5) is acceptable for the Higher Cert.
Fees and Funding
Hcert is R43 442 for 2022, Diploma is over 2 years and the current fees for each year is R37 980 per year in 2022
What courses does Lebone College of Emergency Care offer?
Diploma in EMC in association with SMU, Hcert in EMC in association with SMU, Rescue courses in Association with UJ, BLS for HCP, ACLS, CPG updates, Refresher courses, ESMOE, in service training
Can I study BAA / BLS / ILS / CCA?
No, all short courses have be stopped. No institution is offering short courses which will allow you to register at the Health Professions Council of South Africa to allow you to work on an ambulance.
What refresher courses do you offer?
BLS, ILS and ALS refresher courses
Can I study part time?
No, the diploma and Hcert programs are full time only
I want to study Nursing or Fire Fighting?
You will need to contact the Gauteng college of Nursing for any nursing related studies and Tshwane University of Technology for fire related training.
Is Lebone College of Emergency Care a Private or Public Institution?
Lebone college is a government department under EMS which falls under the department of health.
