Application Procedures

Lebone College of Emergency Care in partnership with Sefako Makgatho University Application for Admission Instructions:

Application for Higher Certificate and Diploma in Emergency Medical Care (EMC)

• Applications are done online. Click Here to apply.
• Applications should be submitted online.
• The application should be completed accurately and fully.
• The names should be the same as they appear in your identity/passport document.
• You are encouraged to apply before the closing dates because it will not be possible to submit your application after the closing date.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO UPLOAD THE FOLLOWING CERTIFIED AND INDIVIDUALLY SCANNED DOCUMENTS:

• Certified Grade 11 end of year examination results (for those currently in grade 12) or your National Senior/Matric/IEB Certificate (if you have already completed Grade 12).
• Certified copy of your ID/passport document (compulsory)
• Certified copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable).
• Please note that certified documents must not be older than 6 months

Further information to consider

  • You may apply for a maximum of two programmes, ranked in order of preference (although you may only register for one should both of your applications be successful).
  • LCOEC will inform you of the outcome of your application. If successful, LCOEC will indicate for which programme you have been accepted and will offer you a space for the period for which you have applied.
  • You must accept or decline LCOEC’s offer within the prescribed period of time, which would be contained in the letter from LCOEC responding to your application
    What happens if I don’t accept LCOEC’s offer?

    • The College will withdraw your offer and give your space to another applicant.
  • If you accept LCOEC’s offer, you must register for the period for which you have been granted admission.

Please ensure that you provide only one e-mail address and one cellphone number during the application process.

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:
• Certified Grade 11 end of year examination results (for those currently in grade 12) or your National Senior/Matric/IEB Certificate (if you have already completed Grade 12).

LCOEC reserves the right to request original documents and / to verify the correctness of submitted documents at any time. Submitting fraudulent documents is an offence in terms of the Student Disciplinary Code.

Follow the instructions carefully when completing the online application process. Only upload the required documents as individual files and not a complete set of documents as one file.

How to apply?

• You can only apply online for a Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care or Diploma in Emergency Medical Care. Click here to apply. Applications for Short Courses (only available for Gauteng Emergency Medical Care officials) are done at Lebone College of Emergency Care. Everyone applying for a new Short Learning Programme must submit the required documents by the due date. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted. Make sure that your application is complete. If your application for admission to study through LCOEC is incomplete, you will be disqualified and have to re-apply during the next application period.
