DIPLOMA IN EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE
RATIONALE
This qualification is designed to produce a mid – level health worker who is able to provide emergency care services primarily within South Africa, in contexts that range from rural disadvantaged communities to sophisticated, highly developed urban areas.
RESCUE COURSES
Rescue courses are conducted with the aim of improving rescue skills in different environments, to highlight the potential risks during different rescue scenarios and how the rescuer must mitigate these.
HIGHER CERTIFICATE IN EMERGENCY CARE
This qualification is designed to produce entry-level emergency care providers who are clinical assistants within the emergency medical care and rescue. SHORT COURSES
Lebone College of Emergency Care offer eleven short courses to individuals who wish to update their professional knowledge and stay current in their skills. This education is also a requirement by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
