Medical Rescue Course
Schedule:
As per the annual training prospectus.
Entry Requirements
Physical assessment prior to the course which may include a run and various other activities
Required Documentation
- Certified copy of code C1 driver’s licence with Prdp
- Certified copy of Identity Document
- Copy of HPCSA card
Outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide you with the necessary insight, theoretical knowledge and technical skills needed to function as a medical rescuer in a larger team.
Various disciplines will be covered:
- Accessing patients in difficult locations for example heights, vehicles involved in accidents and buildings on fire.
- Moving patients to safe environments
- Correct usage and maintenance of specialised rescue equipment
- Ensuring the correct and safe usage of personal protective clothing for your team and yourself
- Assessment of theoretical and practical knowledge
